Our Approach
Regina Brayboy established Encore Writing & Storytelling Productions to bring stories to life. She believes in the power of narrative to render meaning to one’s life. When we claim and shape our own narratives, we engage in sense making and become active agents in creating our lives. Whether putting words to paper or curating a video series with just the right soundtrack, Regina and her team of production and creative partners assist professional and private clients with telling their stories. She works one on one with aspiring writers and creative spirits to find the right structure to contain and set their stories in motion.
Current projects include serving as a writing coach for an author’s new book project; organizing semi-annual writing retreats for a group of aspiring women writers; creating biographical and celebratory videos for signature occasions to include business promotions and recognition ceremonies; and launching a virtual book club. In addition, she is writing and researching stories for her own book on her family’s genealogical roots.
With a love of writing and storytelling, Regina brings to every project her extensive experience in nonprofit management and her work in multiple sectors to include: public broadcasting, maritime administration, law enforcement administration, healthcare administration, and service on numerous boards and commissions. She has an MBA from the College of William & Mary, a MPA from Old Dominion University, and a B.S. in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University. She is passionate about writing, reading, good food, lifelong learning, travel, spending time with family, friends, and her Labrador Retriever companions, Scarlett & Piper.
